Trinidad Steam Engines : Cuba

The first of my urbexy type of missions whilst we were on Holiday was the Trinidad Railway Train Station in Cuba, and there is a nice collection of Steam Engine Locomotives and rolling stock on site.

Steam Engine Collection

I seem to think that this Steam Engine collection belongs to a preservation society of some sort. But I cannot see any evidence of any restoration. Visited with my Wife. More Urban Exploring Photos Here.

  • Not for preservation simply tourist trains that as their boilers rotted were abandoned and another used till its Boiler blew then another and so on till at present they use an ancient Diesel engine that leaks gallons of oil for every mile it covers, though the train trip through the valleys is still amazing and devoid of even the most basic safety features so you can hang off the back or side of the train for the entire trip.
