Zu Studios is an arts centre, venue and meeting place, serving the community of Lewes and beyond. It is a place of inspiration, education and celebration, where new realities are being dreamt!
Zu is short for Zuvuya, the Mayan word that describes the interdimensional wave of change we are all surfing at this time! It is the pipeline to magic and the memory circuit linking life and creative expression.
Zu Studios is Housed in a 100-year-old warehouse, Zu is a community hub where everyone can feel at home, be themselves and feel accepted, regardless of how eccentric or normal they believe themselves to be!
Zu was created by and rests on a foundation of an ever-expanding group of friends who wish to be part of a space of inspiration, education and celebration.
Zu is an authentic, caring community in which people find a platform to be creative and offer their gifts to the world. They run events that nurture us as human beings, through song, story, dance, games, music, art, spirituality, nutrition, environmental awareness and knowledge of human rights.
They believe in creating the type of community we are proud to be part of, through both positive intention and grounded action, in harmony and awareness of the spiraling magic and synchronicity of the universe.

The Santon group was granted planning permission to demolish and rebuild North Street and Phoenix Place in Lewes.
Evictions have already started in Phoenix Place (March 2016) with work starting in (April 2016) The whole Lewes North Street Quarter project should be completed with North Street by 2021.
